Ultraviolet Sunscreen Recall: What Happened?
Ultraviolet, the Aussie SPF brand that’s loved on TikTok (and one I featured in my 100 Days of Sunscreen), just recalled one of their most popular products: Lean Screen SPF 50.
- Independent testing showed shockingly low SPF levels—some as low as SPF 4 or 5
- The brand responded with transparency, retesting and ultimately decided to pull the product
- If you bought Lean Screen, you can request a refund here
- This kicked off a bigger convo about SPF filters in the US vs. Australia, independent testing ulterior motives, and if other brands secretly have low SPF levels.

A devastating loss: Sharon Chuter, founder of UOMA Beauty and leader of the Pull Up For Change movement, has passed at just 38 years old.

- Some of those links are being shared on Reddit, Threads, and TikTok
